Position Description - Pre Sales Engineer
Primary Objective:
Provide pre-sales technical support to Sales staff in regards to Voice, Video, Data and application solutions.
Tender response writing and customer presentations.
Provide solution designs (written and schematic) and associated technical input to sales proposals and customer responses.
Salary Range:
Base $100 - $110k plus car plus commission. OTE is around $150 - $160.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide pre-sales support to sales staff, attending customer meetings to define requirements and ensuring technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide solution designs and associated technical input to sales proposals and other customer responses, ensuring proposed solutions are appropriate to identified customer requirements.
Provide technical advice to assist in development of account strategies.
Assist in providing technical support to dealers.
Provide feedback to product managers and product developers on suitability of existing products and opportunities for products to better suit the market.
Provide occasional post-sales technical support to implementation staff where they require assistance in achieving timely and technically adequate solutions.
Keep abreast of current and upcoming products and related technologies and maintain personal development by attending relevant seminars and training courses.
Participate in conferences and other events to provide demonstrations and field technical questions.
Qualifications:
Tertiary
Communications or IT& T Engineer
Non Tertiary Industry Qualifications
Industry recognised certifications (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, GSE) in data and voice communications, or electrical/electronic engineering highly desirable
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
