The skilled Occupations List
New List of Skilled Occupations Intended to Replace the Current Skilled Occupation List
It is intended that this list of occupations will form the new Skilled Occupation List, proposed to come into effect from 1 July 2010. The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship will be recommending that the Governor-General in Council make amendments to the Migration Regulations 1994 to give effect to the framework in which this new list would be applied.
The Skilled Occupations List is divided into four categories.
If you intend to apply for Skilled Migration to Australia in a 175 Independent visa application, or 176 Family Sponsored, you must be able to "pick" an occupation from one of these categories.
You must be adequately qualified for the occupation and have recent relevant work experience (click on the ANZSCO code for detail) to be successfully assessed for the occupation.
Choose from the 4 main categories under the related links (right of the screen) to see the full list of relevant SOL occupations, as well as detailed descriptions of each specific occupation.
If your occupation is not on the list, then there still can be options for full Permanent Residence, via State-Sponsorship or Employer Nomination.
Register now and speak one-to-one with your own personal assigned consultant about these options.
